Needle Filter

Syringe filters are disposable membrane devices used to remove particulate impurities from liquid and gas samples prior to analysis by methods such as HPLC, ion chromatography, gas chromatography, ICP, and dissolution testing. By properly filtering samples, the quality and consistency of analytical results can be improved and instrument downtime can be reduced. Disposable syringe filters are generally used for fast and efficient filtration. Selection depends on the specific application. Sterile syringe filters can be used for solution disinfection or clarification of sterile solutions, while non-sterile syringe filters are used for general filtration and sample purification. Syringe filters are classified by two basic characteristics: the membrane and the housing. Both characteristics must be compatible with the application and the filtrate. Syringe filter membranes are selected to match the material, filter diameter and pore size, while syringe filter housings are selected to match the end application in material and style.
